Childhood Studies
The Centre offers CACHE (Council for Awards in Children's Care and Education) courses at Level 1, 2 and 3.
The CACHE Foundation Award in caring for children (level 1) is an introduction to work with young children.
The Level 2 CACHE Diploma/Certificate/Award in Childcare and Education enables students who successfully complete the practical and theoretical training to work with children in a supervised capacity.
The Level 3 Diploma/Certificate/Award in Childcare and Education enables successful candidates to work in a wide variety of childcare settings including schools, nurseries and hospitals.
The Foundation Degree in Early Years is offered on a part-time basis for candidates who hold a recognised Level 3 Qualification in Childcare and Education.Successful students may progerss onto the third year of the BA programme.
The BA (Hons) in Early Years is a full-time degree course for those interested in studying childhood studies at a higher level.
