Education

The Centre for Education offers a wide range of courses in the areas of Access, Childhood Studies, English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) as well as Pre-Foundation Studies.

Our Access course offers mature students preparation for further study, while the childcare programmes offer the opportunity to gain early years qualifications and provide all the job satisfaction and rewards associated with working with young children.

We have a range of Teacher Training courses which allow for both entry into and development of teaching in the post compulsory sector.

ESOL and EFL students have the opportunity to develop and practice their English Language skills and then to go onto further study or employment either here or in their own countries.

Pre-Foundation students develop further their social and personal skills including numeracy and literacy within a curriculum which is full of enrichment activities to make their learning fun and meaningful. There is provision for both 14-19yr students and adults.
