Construction
Over two million people are employed in the construction industry in a wide variety of occupations: general labourers, craftsmen, technicians and construction professionals such as architects, surveyors and engineers. Whatever your preference, we have a full range of programmes to help prepare you for this exciting and challenging career. Some of the courses provide entry to further or higher education, either at Colchester Institute or university. Whatever you decide, you can be assured that each programme at Colchester Institute has been developed to help you meet the varied and changing demands of the industry.
In recent years we have expanded our construction programmes to address the local demand. This year we continue to grow this area of the College, with carpentry and joinery courses also available in Tendring, at the Thomas Road Campus. New developments planned for the Maldon area should provide further opportunities for construction training in the future.
