The Learning Shop is conveniently based in Colchester town centre just off the High Street and anyone who wants to know more about learning can 'pop in' for an informal, friendly chat or browse through the various brochures and leaflets displayed on our shelves.

The Learning Shop provides an impartial and accessible information, advice and guidance service for adults of Colchester and the surrounding areas on different local learning and education opportunities available. Up-to-date information is available on adult courses as diverse as computing for beginners and garden design through to professional career training.

The Learning Shop offers the following services:

• Information to take away on learning opportunities.
• Advice on available courses.
• Careers and guidance interviews.
• Advice sessions with representatives from organisations such as the Open University.
• Computer taster courses run by Colchester Institute

The Learning Shop is a partnership between Anglia Ruskin University, Colchester Borough Council, Colchester Institute, Open University in East Anglia, The Adult Community College, Colchester, The Sixth Form College, Colchester and the University of Essex.
