National Diploma in Art and Design

“I felt that there were greater opportunities to study at Colchester Institute than at other colleges I considered. At Colchester Institute I am able to focus all my energy on the National Diploma, rather than studying a range of subjects at A Level. There is also the opportunity to progress to a higher level of study following this course,” Zoe told us.

Zoe explained that she enjoys her independence at the College; in terms of how students approach the briefs they are given for each module and the materials that they choose to use. Zoe has also been impressed by the variety of skills that she has learnt throughout her time on the course, which has led her to develop a keen interest in photography. Having applied to study for the Foundation Degree in Art and Design at Colchester Institute, Zoe intends to specialise in photography and hopes that one day she will fulfil her dream of becoming a fashion photographer.
