Thomas Road, Clacton Campus

Established in 2005, Thomas Road offers new teaching facilities to the area. With newly furbished and extended workshops and salons, the Thomas Road, Clacton Campus is on the Colbayns High School site and provides Auto Engineering, Brickwork, Carpentry and Joinery, Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy courses. There is a Student Centre for learning resources, books, videos and computers. Media equipment can be borrowed to assist students with project work. Student Services can offer help and advice on an appointment basis. Drinks and snacks are on sale from a trolley or through vending machines. There is a Student Common Room with TV, pool table and table-tennis. Hair and beauty salons are open to the public and students, offering a range of treatments at discounted prices. The complete campus is a non-smoking facility.

Transport and Parking

There is an inter-site bus from the Church Road, Clacton Campus that departs at 08.05 promptly with stops and pick up points thereafter, from Clacton DSS bus stop, London Road # (near Litchfield Close), Frating - crossroads bus stop and Elmstead Market - Kings Arms.

# This is the closest point to Thomas Road, accessible via footpath or via Coppins Road.

Student parking is limited to disabled spaces, however spaces are available around the campuses on the surrounding roads.

There are bicycle racks available.
