- Carpentry – Site Carpentry (Advanced) Apprenticeship
This course is designed to give you the relevant training required to become a successful site carpenter or bench joiner. An Advanced Site Carpenter will normally work on a building site, or in domestic and commercial premises, preparing and installing complex and often bespoke building components e.g. high quality doors, shaped linings, staircases with turns, complex wall and floor units, erecting bespoke structural carpentry (inclined roofs and joists) and erecting complex roof structures (e.g. inclined roofs with hips, valleys and dormers).

Designed to give you the relevant training and education required to become a successful site carpenter or bench joiner. The core skills required to be demonstrated include the likes of health and safety, working to commercial standards, following instructions (written and verbal), planning work and selecting appropriate materials. To develop these skills apprentices will attend college for one day per week to gain the appropriate knowledge and practical skill requirements in order to be able to work effectively as a site carpenter or architectural joiner.

The programme has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions.
